I’m thrilled to finally show you phoebelous.com.
I still remember as a little girl, my mom would only buy me two outfits a year, one for summer and another for winter. I relished in those rare shopping trips, but always wished I had a sister who would come to visit with tons of clothes, even if they were just her hand-me-down's.
After moving to the states and finally earning my own money, I went crazy for clothes. I loved cardigans and would buy a cardigan in 5 different colors if they were on sale. I was never the skinny type of Asian girl, if anything, probably on the chubby side. But that did not stop me from realizing a passion for fashion. In fact, it fostered it. I loved playing with different pieces and colors to bring out my best features, even though I was not completely satisfied or confident with my body. My own experience led me to help my friends do the same. I taught a dear friend to dress to accentuate her assets, and watched as she began to gain confidence. Her transformation, both outside and inside, cemented my belief that this was something I wanted to do.
I truly believe that you are what you wear. When I first started my career, one of the first pieces of advice given to me by my mentor was this: what you wear is going to be what people think of you of all time when they think of your name. Since then, I always dressed like I was going to run into my ex that day… JK, but you get my point.
Therefore, my idea of phoebelous.com hatched, inspired by the passion for fashion and photography, and a desire to share them.
Now I want to share with you guys my style journey through some photos below...
